The air diffuser sits behind the air cap and spreads turbine air evenly before it reaches the cap. A blocked or damaged diffuser is one of Fuji’s listed causes of an uneven spray pattern. One assembly note from the manual: there is a locating pin on the back of the diffuser, and it has to seat in the matching hole in the air divider and the front of the gun body.
