Turbine Systems

Four Fuji series, from weekend projects to full-time finishing. Start here and we'll point you to the right one.

Guidance for Turbine System Selection

Guidance for Turbine System Selection

First, consider which spray gun feed style you would like.

  • Gravity-Feed: With the cup above the gun, gravity-feed models are perfect for smaller jobs and tight spaces. They offer better maneuverability and are easier to clean, making them a favorite for detailed work like cabinetry.
  • Bottom-Feed: Ideal for larger projects, these guns have the fluid cup beneath the gun, allowing for higher capacity (up to 1 quart). This setup is well-balanced and reduces the need for frequent refills, making it suitable for extensive spraying tasks.
  • Side-Mounted Gravity-Feed: With the cup mounted to the side rather than on top, this style keeps the gun low-profile and well-balanced while still gravity-fed. It's easier to sight down the workpiece and maneuver in tight or awkward positions, like horizontal surfaces or corners.

Next, decide which turbine you need. A quick overview here, more detail below.

  • D6: Fuji's flagship. Six stages, up to 11.5 PSI, and enough power to spray catalyzed lacquers and 2K topcoats without thinning. Adjustable down to 3 PSI for delicate work.
  • Q Platinum: Q5 and Q4. The same power as a Mini-Mite 5 and 4, at roughly half the noise — around 60 dBA, the level of normal conversation. Choose a Q if the turbine lives in one place and you spray anywhere sound carries.
  • Mini-Mite Platinum: Mini-Mite 3, 4 and 5. The same output as the Q Series in a far lighter, more portable case. Choose a Mini-Mite if the turbine travels to the job.
  • Semi-PRO 2: Fuji's entry point, and a genuinely capable machine. A 2-stage motor at 5 PSI, happiest with stain, shellac, polyurethane and lacquer. Comes with an M-Model gun.
  • Refurb, Scratch & Dent: Turbines restored by Fuji to near-new condition, carrying the full 2-year Fuji warranty. Stock comes and goes, but when the model you want appears it is the cheapest way to get it.

Every system includes a turbine, spray gun, hose, quick-connect and air control valve — ready to spray out of the box. All carry a 2-year warranty except the D6, which carries 2+1 year. Hoses are 25 ft on every system except the D6, which ships 30 ft.

Still deciding?

Still deciding?

Compare every Fuji turbine, or just ask.

The HVLP Turbine Buying Guide compares every Fuji turbine side by side — stages, pressure, weight and noise — and works through turbine against compressor, and complete system against turbine only.

Already know the machine and need to choose the gun? The HVLP Spray Gun Buying Guide covers bottom-feed against gravity-feed, cup capacity, and what separates the T-Model, M-Model, G-XPC and Touch-Up guns.

Would you rather just ask? Tell us what you are finishing, what you are spraying it with, and where you will be working — get in touch or email hello@spraysystem.store. We would rather help you buy the right thing the first time than sell you the wrong one twice.
