The needle packing seals around the needle shaft where it passes into the gun body. It shows up in Fuji’s troubleshooting table twice, from both directions: material weeping from the needle packing nut means the packing is worn or loose, and a sluggish trigger often means it has been compressed too tightly. When adjustment no longer settles it, the packing itself is the part to change. See the troubleshooting guide.
